I've been involved with music one way or another as far back as I can remember. My dad was a classically trained singer, and my brother and I started out playing folk songs, bluegrass, blues, 50's and 60's rock & roll, and more recently, the American songbook standards.
I've played various instruments at varying skill levels, but recently have recorded with professional studio musicians using some of the amazing music software now available.
The songs on this site are all covers (with a few exceptions) and were recorded over the past 15 years. I am singing on all songs, some of which I also play keyboard, guitar, Dobro, mandolin, and uke.
My art on this site was mostly created in the year or two after graduating from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1971. I switched from fine art to a career in graphic design and illustration in the 1970’s, eventually working for 33 years as an Art Director and interactive web developer for Consumer Reports magazine.
